HAPO’S WELCOME MESSAGE
HAPO’S WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I’m extending a warm welcome to the Aquaculture Congress 2024, now in its 3rd year, themed «Defining a Resilient Future». This enduring institution plays a crucial role in fostering and advancing the Aquaculture industry amid a period of transformation, innovation, and extroversion.
Despite the challenges our industry has confronted and continues to face due to ongoing crises in the economy, escalating energy costs, the pandemic, and the backdrop of two wars, it remains steadfastly at the forefront of growth. The robust export profile, leading expertise, sophisticated organizational structures, and exceptional product quality firmly position Greek Aquaculture in a prominent global stance. Considering the prevailing international uncertainties and potentials now is the right moment for us to take bold steps forward, leveraging our knowledge, experience, and the indisputable value and potential of our production to revitalize the business dynamics of our sector.
The Congress will provide a platform to present and discuss institutional, business, and scientific perspectives, culminating in decisions that will benefit not only the sector but also contribute to the overall economic well-being of the country. The Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization (HAPO) wholeheartedly supports the event, ensuring the dynamic presence and active participation of its members and executives. I eagerly anticipate your presence, look forward to engaging in conversations, and extend an invitation for your valuable support.
ORGANIZERS’ WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues,
on behalf of the organizers, we cordially invite you to actively contribute to the success of the Aquaculture Congress 2024, “Defining a Resilient Future”. The Congress, organized by AMBIO S.A. with the support of the Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization, will take place on 28-29 June 2024, at the Athens International Conference Centre.
Building on the success of our previous two Congresses in 2018 and 2022, the Aquaculture Congress has emerged as a cornerstone institution in the industry. The primary goal of the 2024 event is to guide the definition of a resilient future for aquaculture in Greece, the Mediterranean, Arab countries, and beyond. Key objectives include addressing investment challenges, promoting sustainable practices to mitigate the effects of climate change, strengthening competitiveness, encouraging innovation through advanced technologies, developing new products, investigating global demand projections for aquaculture products, and fostering international cooperation and partnerships.
The presence and participation of all stakeholders are vital for advancing the development of a resilient industry and exchanging ideas, all while promoting the principles of responsible and innovative practices in Aquaculture.
