Aggeliki Kallara

She was born in Klenia, Corinthia.

She graduated from the 2nd Athens Girls’ High School (Marasleio).

She received a degree in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the University of Patras.

Subsequently, he attended a postgraduate course at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and received a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in “Environmental Pollution Control”.

She worked at the Fisheries Prefectural Office of Corinth of the then Ministry of Agriculture, during the years 1984-1995, with responsibilities for fisheries and aquaculture.

From the year 1995 to 2011 she worked in the Directorate of Fisheries Extension of the General Directorate of Fisheries of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food, with responsibilities in matters of a) International Organizations and Regional Organizations of Fisheries Management, b) trainings for fishermen and fish farmers and seminars for ichthyologists of public services, with co-financing in the framework of EU programs, c) operation of state Hydrobiological Stations, etc.

In 2011, she moved to the Aquaculture Division, while on 1/1/2015 she was appointed as Head of the Division, where she remains until today.

Since December 2023, he has been acting as Head of the General Directorate of Fisheries.
