He was born in Athens in 1978 and comes from Skoutari in Laconia. He is married to Mari Ovakimian and they have one child.
He graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens, holds a Master’s degree in “Genetic Improvement Breeding and Nutrition of Farm Animals” and a PhD in “Microclimatic Conditions and Physiology of Farm Animal Breeding”. He was a scholarship holder of the State Scholarship Foundation in the field of Bioclimatology.
He has been working as an agronomist since 2007. He was Special Advisor to the Secretary General for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in 2013-2015 and a staff member in the office of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Petros Doukas in 2007-2009.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute and the Patras Science Park. He has been elected as a full member of the governing bodies of the Agricultural University of Athens (Council of the Departments of Animal Production and General, Senate and Rector’s Council).
