Theofilos Mitsakos (Theo) is Head of Operations for Securities Services, Asset & Wealth Management within BNP Paribas India Solutions Pvt. Ltd (ISPL). Additionally, Theo heads transversal verticals including Operational Excellence, Change Management, Entity Finance & AFMG Services. In his role, he oversees Global Third-Party Risk Management and is the Location Head in Chennai. Prior to the amalgamation of Global Securities Operations (GSO) with ISPL, Theo was the Managing Director of GSO.
Theo has spent over 24 years within the BNP Paribas Group, he headed operations teams in Greece and has also served as Head of Location for Securities Services, in Hungary and Head of the Clearing & Custody Business Line in London. He has a combined experience of over 27 years across various verticals in the Securities Services Industry.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Theo gained extensive experience in the custody business during his tenure with BNY Mellon in Brussels.
Theo started his career in Aquaculture, obtaining a BSc in Fisheries and Aquaculture from TEI of Missolonghi and an MSc in Aquaculture Planning and Management from University of Hull (UK) and subsequently an MBA in Finance from ESCEM, France
